Columbus hops, also known as CTZ (Columbus, Tomahawk and Zeus), are a popular American dual-purpose variety prized for their high alpha acid content and bold character. They deliver clean, assertive bitterness with dank, pungent and earthy aromas complemented by black pepper, herbal, licorice and bright citrus notes. Excellent for bittering, late kettle additions and dry hopping in American IPAs, Double IPAs, Pale Ales, Stouts, Barleywines and Lagers.
