Bred by the Yakima Chief Ranches, Palisade is an aroma variety with moderate bittering properties. Palisade is used as a duel purpose hop and has a good resistance to powdery and downy mildew. Its aroma is described as floral, subtle apricot, grassy or ”pretty”. Non-aggressive, smooth hop flavor with a fruity, non-citrusy aroma more characteristic of english style Pale ales.
