Released in 2000 from Washington State University, Glacier is a dual purpose hop. The variety has a low cohumulone content which allows a well balanced bittering properties along with a pleasant aroma of citrus mixed with sweet fruity of pear or apricot. Aroma seems to be the strong suit of this hop.

Alpha Acids %: Around 5.63

Beta Acids %: Around 7.6

Co-Humolone: 11-13% of alpha acids

Total Oil: 0.7-1.6 mls/100g

General Trade Perception: Excellent variety with balanced bittering properties and a good aroma profile

Possible Substitutions: Fuggle, Styrian Golding, Willamette

Typical Beer Styles: Pale Ale, ESB, English-style Pale Ale, Porter, Stout
